NOVA DREAM
Nova Dream unveil new single "Black Cinema", with B-side "Rearrange"
Nova Dream began when Josh Bartschi and Gabriel Rizzo, fueled by creative passion and a shared vision, started writing music together before fate soon intervened in the form of drummer Danny Maguire to solidify their lineup.
Since then, Nova Dream has been crafting their unique blend of alternative rock with elements of grunge and post-punk, playing unmissable live shows in Ireland, including headline gigs in The Soundhouse, Fibbers Magees, Fred Zeppelins and Sin é.
The Dublin trio are drawing in fans far and wide with their nostalgic alt-rock sound.
"Black Cinema" was recorded between Darklands Studios and the band’s home studio, both in Dublin, with drums engineered by Daniel Doherty, Mixed by Didier Parra and mastered by Pete Maher.
The melancholic new single (and their fourth to date) explores various metaphors related to change and the passage of time, and how these impact the human tendency to overthink. Being one of the band’s favourites to play live, it smoothly blends the tastes of each member into a cohesive whole. Built with an earworm bass riff, attentive drum grooves and grunge-tinted guitar dialogue, the single is another strong offering from the ambitious trio.
(B-Side): "Rearrange" conveys the perfection of imperfection, dealing with expectations, and navigating the complexities of life. With a strong 90’s influence, this song serves as a reminder that for the band, it’s not always about reinventing the wheel; sometimes, that same wheel can take you to new places.
