The Dead list is a 5-piece Groove Metal band from the Staffordshire, UK. Formed in 2022, the band has been no stranger to the stages throughout the West Midlands and Staffordshire with a reputation for their incredible onslaught with pounding guitar riffs.
The Dead List have already released their first two singles but they've been kind enough to send their EP prior to release and check out the West Midlands groovers debut EP due 18th August.

First up on the EP we’ve got “Acid Reign” which immediately kicks in with a great melodic riff that’ll have you headbanging straight away, a great introduction to the track following up a catchy melodic chorus. The variance in the vocals alone in the beginning of the track is a great showcase of what to expect on the rest of the EP.
Throughout the EP, you can hear an incredible bass tone and it’s highlighted well on the next track in “Never Apologise”, adding some extra power to the song. It’s a classic heavy metal song infused with modern metal elements, featuring powerful riffs, dynamic rhythms, and top-notch production.
Right in the middle, we’ve got The Abyss! This track marks a shift from the first two with a heavier edge that hits you right away. These lads can make you headbang with some great groovy riffs, as shown earlier, and then melt your face off with brutal riffs, especially on this track. The drums pound away like a hammer on a nail, blasting you through the song and finishing off with a slow-paced breakdown that’ll have you headbanging till the very end
Roll The Dice, it’s that time again!
The 4th track of the EP, ‘The First,’ is the debut single from this West Midlands five-piece band. Wow! These boys deliver some great melodic riffs, and it can’t be overstated how good the bass sounds throughout the EP, especially on this track. The dual vocals from Mick and Leigh are outstanding—very clear and adding an extra element to an already fantastic musical ensemble.
Last but not least is Voices. Now you may have already seen Craigo’s reaction to this one over on youtube (shameless plug!) but what a striking change from previous tracks on the EP. Incredible range from the lads again with a heavier punch to the face with some incredible unclean vocals backed with ferocious riffs blasting you in the face. You just have to listen to it; it is a sonic assault that keeps pounding away unrelenting with some incredible riffs. An absolute banger.
The Dead List are bringing out an absolute banger of an EP you will have to get your ears tuned in to this on the 18th August 2024. They bring something different on every track with groove filled riffs, sonic assaults and some great unclean vocals finishing up with a pounding drum attack and phenomenal sounding basslines. If you’re in the area when these guys play, make sure to get down!
