Introducing HeadbangerHQ PT 2: Craigo!
Well hello everybody...Craigo here and here's a little bit about me.
Born in the 80's into an all round musical family, everyone was musically talented and there was always music playing everywhere. From a young age I started singing and won several talent competitions on holidays, until I turned double figures of age and found my way to a keyboard and wrote my first song at 11 years old.
I have been known to dabble in playing guitar/bass guitar/keyboard/drums/tin whistle/bodhran but haven't played most of them in a while.
I've been in several bands, ranging from Pop-Punk to Heavy Metal...however, I'm never too shy to hit the dancefloor and do the Macarena!
My Top 3 Albums Of All Time (in NO particular order)
1: Hybrid Theory - Linkin Park
When I was in college, I was massively into Hip-Hop and never really gave rock/metal the time of day...until one day, a friend pulled me to one side and said "Check this out, you'll LOVE this!!" and played PAPERCUT...I was instantly hooked and demanded I have the album there and then, I even ditched the rest of the day just to go off campus and binge play the whole album.
2: Slipknot - Slipknot
At the time of getting into the rock/metal scene, I was mainly introduced to "the softer side" of it...until this album crossed my path! The pure aggresion, power and brutal chaos had me transfixed from start to finish!
3: The Slim Shady LP - Eminem
I was in high school when this album came out and I listened to nothing else but Eminem for years after hearing this. I became a Stan before Stan's were even a thing, digging into the background of Eminem's music and getting everything I could lay my hands on and memorizing every single lyric to every song I could...and I'm still that massive Stan to this day and forever will be!
My Top 3 Unsigned/Independent Albums Of All Time:
1: IN MOMENT/IN MEMORY - Our Hollow Our Home
2018, before OHOH moved to Arising Empire, they released their Sophomore album and it couldn't have come at a better time (for me).
After Tobias (Guitarist/Vocalist) lost his Dad to Cancer, this album focused on the concept of the 5 stages of grief...something I wish I knew about before hand!
Between 2012-2016, I personally lost 3 loved ones and I lost my way significantly...until this album came out and I learned more about myself and the process of grief that I actually started the grieving process I actively rejected.
Regardless of the bands break-up and politics surrounding it, this will forever be my number 1 album because of the healing I got from it!
2: DEADLOCK - InVisions
2022, this album got repeated everyday...the techincal musicianship and vocal mastery was second to none and I'd be taken to a different place in my mind everytime I hit PLAY. An absolute masterpiece of an album!
3: LOW- TheCityIsOurs
2019, before this band also moved over to Arising Empire, this album was played everyday! I was introduced to this band when I saw an FB post stating the lead singer (at the time) of OHOH featured on their single "BARE BONES" which was a sick track...but hearing the rest of the album made me realise just how good they are! They're still going strong and continue to drop bangers! THE KINGS OF THE SWITCH UP!!
There we go...a brief introduction to myself. Thank you for your time and if you're an Unsigned/Independent Band or Artist wishing to have a Reaction Video done for your track, message me or email me on any of the links below, sub to my YouTube channel and we'll chat and see what we can come up with!
