NOVEMBER FIRE
In 1991, November Fire was formed in New England. The band worked hard, refining their sound to one that relied on heavy riffs, loose, dynamic jams, and emotional vocals. They stayed active until 2004, recording three demos and writing and performing over 40 original songs at gigs around the Boston area. After some sporadic reunions to do benefit concerts and have the occasional fun jamming session they started playing regularly again in late 2022, this culminated in their first fully-realized album, “Through A Mournful Song”, released in October 2024. With the six song, 40 minute album, November Fire looks to continue sharing its vision of heavy doomic psychedelic rock and metal!
We checked out their track “Sad song with no name”.
THE EMOTION IS STRONG
The first thing that really stands out with this track is the tone of the bass and guitar! They create a perfect doomesque atmosphere that really brings the emotion in the songs to life.
The lyrics reflect the darkness of current times and lead listeners into the deepest abysses of the human soul.
The atmosphere builds and becomes a driving, powerful musical journey that is not for the faint of heart. If you love darkness, you will get your money's worth. You can feel the pain in the lyrics escaping from the band.
I feel like this song is simplicity done very well. The DIY feel to the tracks actually adds to the sound, creating an eerie experience for the listener.
