All in Vain

All in Vain are a thrash metal band from Newcastle, England. Formed in 2024 with members unified love for thrash metal and modern metal, All in Vain bring something to the table that you won’t want to miss out on. I came across these by chance on Instagram earlier last week and had to put into words my thoughts on their second single “Fractured”

Getting straight into the song, you can hear the Sylosis influence with the opening, bolstered by incredible harsh vocals that perfectly fit the tone. The pre-chorus riff is phenomenal, with some Alex Skolnick-esque guitar work, followed by great cleans that empower the song even more. I absolutely love when you can hear every instrument clearly throughout the track, and the pulsing bassline towards the end caps off an excellent follow-up to their debut single, "All in Vain."

Seriously, you need to give this a listen if you're a fan of Sylosis, Testament, and old-school thrash. It's an absolute banger with powerhouse riffs that you just have to sink your teeth into. I've had it on repeat for a while now. If you get the chance to see these guys live, make sure you do and get streaming the song! It's fantastic to have another local band on Headbanger HQ, and we'll definitely be keeping an eye on them.
