Adjentist

Adjentist

Adjentist are a Progressive Metal band from Tromsø, Norway. They’ve released two Ep’s since their inception and two full length albums, one released this year. In their own words they said their heavily grooved based and boy was that right.

We jump straight in with “Dark Days” and I’m going to have to link it right now because the opening groove is so f**king sick! The vocals are seriously impressive, with a great screamed verse followed up with great cleans. This track goes f**king hard.

Next up, we’ve got “Empty Halls” and we continue the groove filled riffs and my god do they rule. The lyrics in the track are so well written the section below in particular really shows the quality of songwriting on show.

“Make a hole in my soul

Looking for a story I can sell

I keep digging that hole

No darkness to explore”

And lastly, we checked out the first single of the album “The Edge”. The tone in the guitar in this track is seriously good, it’s low it’s brutal, it punches you in the face and keeps going. I’m seriously impressed by this song; we got some great groovy riffs and the timing at parts seems incredible to stay in sync just further showcasing the talent in Adjentist!

We’ve been lucky to hear some incredible music this week and Adjentist is no different, I would absolutely love to see these guys live so make sure you get over to the UK! Seriously, if you get the chance to see these guys live make sure you do and be sure to check out their new album!
