Fire For Sleeping Giants

Fire for Sleeping Giants are a melodic metal band from Sweden. Their journey began 2023 from the ashes of their previous band Ænemy.

Their influences comes from bands like Gojira, Mastodon, Lamb of God and Baroness.

They sent us their album ‘Tide & Wave’. We checked out the track ‘Black Haze’.

NECK BREAKING RIFF

This track kicks off with a long intro, a very melodic piece that build up to a neck breaking riff that continues throughout much of the song.

The guitar work isn’t technical, just simplicity done very well. The riff feels dark and hits like a sledgehammer.

The vocals add an eerie vibe that pairs very well with the rest of the band. There is some real dark emotion on display here.

STRONG MUSICAL STATEMENT

The band have clearly worked hard and put a lot of time into their album. This track represents a body of work that reflects their development as artists while making a strong musical statement.

The production of the song is very good. Every note is right, every instrument comes into its own clearly and powerfully.
